2007, The year that was…
Whew, 3 hours from now and we will be welcoming 2008. A lot of things happened this year, both good and bad, happy and sad. But before we say hello to the new year, allow me to look back at the best memories of 2007. Let’s go down memory lane from January to December 2007.
January - Aldrin and I found out that I am pregnant with our second baby. I was one month pregnant. We were very excited! I was also a bit nervous because it means that I would be giving birth to this baby through Ceasarian Section again. Nevertheless, we were very hapy, there will be a new member to our happy and loving family.
February - We moved to our new home. This one is nearer to my mother’s place. The house is pretty old but it’s cozy.
I moved to my new family in my company. I was hoping for this new assignment since November of 2006. It was granted after 2 months of knowledge transition to my team members. From doing production support I was assigned to Software Quality Assurance. This new group I am joining is responsible in helping the Solutions Workforce of Accenture Manila Delivery Center in keeping its being assessed at CMMi Level 5. CMMi Level 5 is the highest maturity in software quality a solution delivery-focused company can attain. I am proud to be part of this group.
March and April - Ate Lyn, Sam’s yaya for all time left us to go back to Bicol to continue her schooling. Lyn was a very good yaya and househelp and we are very thankful to have met her. She stopped schooling again and now works as a cashier in a department store in Laguna, Lyn good luck in all your endeavors!
I started experiencing problems with my pregnancy. I was always out of breath on the verge of blacking out. These were the times when I was almost always in the ER of some hospital. We are thankful that we were able to get past this stage in my pregnancy, things started to get better late in the 2nd trimester. We also went to Laiya, Batangas for a summer outing. Sam loved the water so much! We have lots of pictures of pretty Sam in the Photo Gallery.
May and June - We celebrated Labor day at Max’s. I still had my occasional trips to the ER but its not as often as the previous months. A lot of people think that my second baby will be a boy, probably because I didn’t like fixing up. We had an ultrasound but we still can’t determine if its a boy or a girl.
We also attended the Blogger Meet-up at Taste Asia in MOA. It was fun! I loved the cream puffs in Chocolate Fondue! I met a lot of bigtime bloggers, finally met SexyMom Dine Racoma, DJ Marcel, Jun of Mabuting Balita and Yuga, and I also met new friends: Teacher Julie, Jericho and GannsDeen.
We availed of the Sun Cellular promo and blogged about how the service sucks. By the way, the service has not changed. still sucks. Sorry Sun, just saying my piece here.
July - My hubby received his first Google AdSense paycheck. I just noticed that from January up to this month I have not been writing any posts. I was busy with work and so worried with my pregnancy. I had to take a vacation for a week because I have been experiencing some mild contractions.
August - Another happiest moment in my life happened this month. (the other happiest moments are meeting and marrying my hubby and giving birth to Sam!)
August 25, 7 AM, I gave birth to our angel, Laura Eowyn Ysabel.
Most of the posts for this month is about Ley.
September - Ley turns a month old. We are so thankful since Ley suffered from pneumonia just a week after giving birth to her. We were very worried. Thank God she responded well to the medicine and we didn’t have to confine her.
Also, I started blogging this month.
October - We bought our first car! it may not be Aldrin’s dream car but we are thankful. We thought its about time we invest in one, even if its a second-hand car. With 2 kids, its really hard going to places by the local commute.
Sam turned 2 last October 25, Ley celebrated her Christening and Sam her 2nd birthday at Max’s. It was fun. Sam had a great time dancing to the tune of “Itaktak Mo”.
I also tried doing sponsored blogs to earn a few bucks.
November and December - November, I went back to work after almost 3 months of Maternity Leave. I missed my babies so much. Going back to work meant less time to breast feed my Ley. So I had to express milk during my break time and refrigerate for Ley’s consumption at night. I also had less time for blogging again.
We attended the Blog Parteeh 2007 at Red Box Greenbelt 3. I witnessed DJ Marcel do a doble-kara (oke) performance to the tune of ‘Endless Love’ and his rap antics to Salbakuta’s ‘Stupid Love!‘. I also sang a song, Natalie Imbruglia’s Torn. It was fun but we left early since hubby still had to go to work.
We bought our ASUS EEE PC! This is one gadget that I didn’t have to think twice before buying, when my hubby mentioned about this gigantic-mini laptop, i thought we should have this.
Ley is spending her first Christmas and New Year, Sam her third. Here I am now blogging about the year that was.
