2007, The year that was…
Whew, 3 hours from now and we will be welcoming 2008. A lot of things happened this year, both good and bad, happy and sad. But before we say hello to the new year, allow me to look back at the best memories of 2007. Let’s go down memory lane from January to December 2007.
January – Aldrin and I found out that I am pregnant with our second baby. I was one month pregnant. We were very excited! I was also a bit nervous because it means that I would be giving birth to this baby through Ceasarian Section again. Nevertheless, we were very hapy, there will be a new member to our happy and loving family. Read more…
Year-ender Blog Contest
We got a nice Year-Ender tip for bloggers from Karlo, the man behind PinoyBlogero.com, one of the most emerging blog of 2007 in the Philippines. And I think he had his post already.
And I think this would be my last post for the year. (My wife’s post to follow.) But I think it’d be better if I end the post with another easy-to-win blog contest. What do you think? My first contest got 3 entries and for me, it’s still a great success. And I wanna have another success before the year ends.
Let me raffle another laptop bag now. Read more…
What's going on?
I’ve been out for several days already and I’m out of pace again. Can someone provide a guest post?
My Asus eee PC
I would say, we had a wish came true! Wow. I don’t know why but I did not have to convince my wife in getting one. She was the one who mentioned of buying an asus eee, in fact.
Well, she needs one. Maybe that’s the reason.
So, I got our Asus eee last December 28, right before the LaptopZone Wellcom branch in Park Square 1 closes. I saw the unit straight from the box so I thought it was new. While setting up the 3G connection with my SE K608i, I needed to log in as root (via console) but I cannot have the right password. Good thing, I did not just use “sudo”. I would have not discovered it was “pre-owned” if I did.
So I called the store the other day and they said they are gonna replace the unit. They said the unit might have once a demo unit before it was delivered to them. They also said the the username and password should be asked during first boot. I have no idea about it. So the next morning, I hurried back to the store and have my unit replaced.
I’d like to discuss more about our Asus eee but I need to eat first. Honey’s waiting. Till the next post.
The easiest blog contest winners
OMG! I thought I already posted the winners last night. I was typing this post and then found myself asleep in front of the monitor after 3 hours. Oh no!
So here are the winners. There were 3 entries and all of them are winners. Since there were only 3, it was so easy to raffle it. I wrote the names on a sheet of paper, shuffle them more than a hundred times and let my wife pick the winners. First pick got the 3rd prize, and the 2nd pick won the jackpot. The remaining sheet won the 2nd prize. Just like announcing the amatuer singing contest champion. So here they are. Read more…
