A senseless comment about a sexy mother
I was browsing through this blog’s most popular posts when I read my hubby’s post about Sexy Filipinas, (yeah, i just read this blog now, I rarely had time to do anything else than work stuff)
The comment about Sexy Mom really got my blood boiling! I think this so-called ‘decent filipino woman’ did not even bother to check out Dine’s site. She would not see a thing in there that would degrade the Filipina. It’s a blog about a mother, a wife, a woman who feels sexy. There is nothing wrong about feeling sexy. Sam who’s just 2 years old has learned to call me sexy.
Another thing, should the word ’sexy’ always have to be associated with ’sex’ as in ’sex in the bedroom’ as what the comment said? Of course not. Sexy for me is being smart, engaging and inspiring. (obviously, this decent filipino woman is not sexy, nothing close to it). And how dare that senseless person generalize that Mommy bloggers laugh behind Sexy Mom’s back? I am a mommy blogger, heck I am a sexy Mommy blogger as well.
The comment said that ‘Foreigners type “filipina” to search for women to have sex’. Did she just imply that foreigners think of nothing else but sex?! Is she now degrading the rest of the world? Did she just reduce the rest of the world to sex-crazed people?
Whew, thank God I already gave birth, or this pissed off feeling would’ve been very bad for the baby. Buti na lang di ko nabasa nung buntis pa ako.
Lessons learned: Do not be quick to judge, or it will retaliate. And to all Filipinas: be proud that we are sexy!

and i remember your hubby, Mr Nice Ash, having also coined you as the “Sexy Working Mom”. thanks–if you agree, i will post this in “The Filipina Images”, full credits, of course. and little by little, we are able to put a balance in the internet for the clean and sexy image of the Filipina.

wow, thank you Dine! I am honored. Have been wanting to display the Filipina Images icon in our site. I will, pretty soon, i just have to figure out the technical part. hehehe.
And when I am regular (enough) blogger, I would like to join the pinoy moms network!
Congrats again on your first year.
