Beach Resorts

Virgin Beach Resort has a Nice Shower Room

So I’ve been to the place where I’ve been fantasizing about spending my summer with. It was a beautiful beach resort in Laiya, San Juan, Batangas called Virgin Beach Resort.

Last Saturday, we traveled more than 3 hours from Manila. We got lost, that’s why. But It should be lesser than that.

After a long trip, we arrived at the place and everyone was excited. We headed right to the cottages where we rest ourselves for a while and prepare for the activities we are about to do to make the event more fun. Then we had some games and cheering competition. Everyone participated and everyone had a different fun experience.

After the game activities, we had our lunch in a very long table in front of the beach. We got mixed Chicken-Pork-Beef adobo, Grilled Pusit, Salted eggs, lots of rice, Pork Sinigang, and Mais con Yelo for dessert. I indulged myself with all the variety on the table. I know everyone else did too but in the end, there’s still a lot of leftovers.

Then the most awaited event started. Swimming. It was a sunny day, which is perfect for outing at the beach. The beach is not clean, but we didn’t mind it. It seems like no matter how dirty it is, it won’t stop us from experiencing the lone reason why were there. Everybody enjoyed the giant waves, though maybe for at least two ladies, it was too harsh. Swallowed by the waves with only a leg out, and right before standing up, was swallowed back again… and again… Ouch!

The whole activity was perfect, I would give a score of 10/10. Thanks a lot to the organizers/committee, though I know there’s only one reason why you preferred to be part of it. It’s because you don’t want to cast your talents out. :P

How to go to Anilao Batangas

Summer sits around the corner once more, and you might be probably thinking of your summer plans as well. I would recommend paying a visit to the Beach Resorts of Anilao Batangas, for a different kind of deep sea adventure. There are lots of diving sites in Anilao Batangas and before I talk about it, let me tell you first how to get there.

Option A – How to go to Anilao Batangas
From the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), head towards the South Luzon Express Way (SLEX) via Sucat Parañaque or via EDSA, whichever is more comfortable. Drive along SLEX and take Lucena/Batangas Exit. Drive pass through Calamba Laguna and take the STAR Tollway in Sto. Tomas Batangas. The end of the STAR Tollway leads to Diversion road in Balagtas Batangas which leads to the International Port of Batangas if you take the flyover. DO NOT take the flyover, instead make a right turn to Bauan Batangas. Upon exiting Bauan proper, the road yields to a Y junction. Take the left of the Y and the long winding road will lead you to Mabini. You will pass through a zigzig road which leads you to another Y junction. This time take the right of the Y and it will take you to Anilao Batangas and to other places with beautiful beach resorts.

Option B
Just follow option A so you won’t get confused.

Now let’s talk about the options and places you might enjoy in Anilao Batangas. If you’re adventurous person, you would probably like to experience under the sea adventures and lots of SCUBA diving places in Anilao will satisfy you. And if you’re there just to relax and burn your smooth skin under the sun, there are even lots of it in Anilao. Why don’t you just take a peek at the below list?

The Batangas Bay. Childhood Chronicles Part III

One of my favorite hangout with my friends when I was a kid was to go swimming at the bay. Everyday during summer, from as early as 6am up to 5pm, no matter how big the waves were, we still enjoy its not so clean water. Yeah, not clean at all. Wastes are just around the shore. If you’re sensitive to dirty surroundings, my hangout place may not be the right place for you.

It’s summer time!

Everyone is excited! Everyone has their things prepared. Some even stayed in the office. We’re really excited.

Our team is having its annual outing activity tomorrow, as part of the team building programme. It’s the third year I’ve been joining. Well, I missed last year’s in Zambales. Sam was still too young then, so we opted not to join. But this time, my treasures (honey, Sam and new baby), are joining as well.

Where are we heading? To Laiya San Juan Batangas. This will actually be my first time there. I always miss our college outing before. First time is always exciting, eh? But the thing that excites me the most is seeing my wife and kids tomorrow. We’ve been textmates again lately.

I will definitely be taking my camera phone with me all the time and capture all valuable moments we will have.

Until then folks, expect a bucket of photos here!
