I have been wanting to welcome this blogger back. But then always forgets. Aging. Welcome back, Sugarplum Fairy.

She’s my sexy Filipina wife. Actually, before Yuga and Albrine, I already heard the word ‘blog’ from her. That’s my first encounter with that word. She mentioned that she used to write on her Xanga blog before. I don’t think she still remembers her URL.

I can also remember when I created an ASP version of wordpress and she asked me to setup one for her. She had a couple posts but then stopped again. She’s truly focused on office work, that’s the reason.

And now that she’s back again, I hope it never ends this time.

I was browsing through this blog’s most popular posts when I read my hubby’s post about Sexy Filipinas, (yeah, i just read this blog now, I rarely had time to do anything else than work stuff)

The comment about Sexy Mom really got my blood boiling! I think this so-called ‘decent filipino woman’ did not even bother to check out Dine’s site. She would not see a thing in there  that would degrade the Filipina. It’s a blog about a mother, a wife, a woman who feels sexy. There is nothing wrong about feeling sexy. Sam who’s just 2 years old has learned to call me sexy.

Since they announced about the AdSense Hybrid they saw on their blogs, which is TLA + AdSense, I’ve been an ad observant. And this new AdSense breed was a little strange. Of course I don’t know the explanation behind so you’d better explain it.It doesn’t have any AdSense but pure e-Bay ads.

I’ve been blogging since late 2003 but I never enjoyed posting entries back then. It’s because I hardly can think of topics to blog about.

There’s no Wordpress back then. I signed up on blogspot but I never had a single entry on it. (Well, as far as I can remember). And besides, I did not like its features. And since Wordpress was not yet out, I had to create my own CMS. But again, I didn’t have any topics to discuss so I’ve just been updating the backend scripts almost everyday. I had fun!

Being a regular visitor of Yuga’s and Albrine’s blogs (I miss this guy already), I got an idea of monetizing a blog and earn extra income thru AdSense. And after years of no income, Yuga helped me out and started to convert my blogging into some amount.

I got my first AdSense Check few months ago and for me it’s big enough. We dined at Bubba Gump for the first time; we bought a wooden cabinet (at last), I treated my friends out a month after my birthday; in short, we were able to pamper ourselves a bit. Excitement and joy I felt.

Since then, my earnings became even higher and it made me more interested in blogging. Although what I’m earning is still incomparable to what the others earn.

Now, I again have few months’ savings on AdSense and since we have two kids already, we figured that it now makes sense if we buy our own car. Our First car. (Seems like my dream is coming true now, eh?) We are planning to start with a used car and maybe upgrade little by little until we avail a new one.

While my AdSense savings is not enough for a used car, we decided to loan some amount and let AdSense pay for it every month.

Now, I only hope that we make a right decision on choosing a car. I am no grease monkey so I need your help.

• How much budget do you think is ideal for buying a used car?
• What factors do I need to consider in choosing a car?
• What tips would you advise that I should do when we already have the car? (Maintenance tips)

Before I end this, I just want you to know that earning from blogging is just the result. What makes the passion alive is your little time spent reading this blog and the mindset to earn more friends online and offline through blogging.

UPDATE: Actual file attached. After downloading, extract the file and override the existing better-comments-manager.php file in your plugin folder. Enjoy

I use Better Comments Manager to easily manage comments from users on my blogs. But I found it quite inconvenient because I always have to go to “Comments” menu and then do another click to access the function so I modified the plugin to make the function accessible from the Dashboard page.

I planned to post the plugin but weeks ago, Jaypee announced the latest version of the plugin which enables the user to access the function straight from the Admin Panel. I thought my plan to blog about it was totally ruined but I noticed that there’s something more I can add to make the plugin better.

Currently, the plugin adds a menu to access the function and the menu lies inline with other top level menus. IMO, the menu is placed not perfectly well so I make it a submenu on the Dashboard page. Here’s how it looks now. For me, this is much a better look. I can’t attach the file yet but if you want, I can send it to you.
