Cu4tro Cantos

The Four Songs of Life

Cu4tro Cantos is the new Ala Eh Blog. Since I cannot provide pure Batangueño articles, I decided a revamp of the site, which I think is more appropriate. Cu4tro Cantos refers to the four members of the Cantos Family. In spanish, Cuatro means Four, and Cantos means Songs.

Philippines: Motorola W230 will be available in April

Motorola W230In terms of affordability and reliability, I’m still eyeing for Motorola W230. According to it’s official website, it sports a Music Player and FM Radio which can record and save on phone. It can hold up to 2GB of external storage which is really ideal for me.

I went to the Motorola store at Digital Exchange Glorietta to avail one, but it will be available on April. They have one unit there but it’s for display only. I asked for the price and they said they have no idea yet. I hope the $50-price is true. I have no idea of the release date in other countries.

Should this phone go higher than Php 2,500, then I will have to look for another. But let’s see.

Would you recommend any ideal phone to me? I really have to use my Sun Cellular SIM card since I will still have to pay for it every month.

Motorola W230 Release Date

My Sun Cellular SIM Card has been sleeping inside my wallet for a while already. I’m paying for it eventhough I don’t use it. I already dumped my LG-KG220 for only Php 2K. It’s design is elegant, I really liked it. Still the most beautiful phone I ever had in terms of the looks. But it’s just not easy to use and I got annoyed. I bought a Nokia 1200 and it was cool. Keys are soft, making calls and SMS are really easy to do. But after 2 weeks, I sold my Nokia 1200 for a lower price.

Now, I’m on the hunt for a new cheap phone and I was actually targeting small Nokia Classic phones like 2100, 1100, etc… for SMS and calls. I want to have Nokia 1200 again so I can use the spare BL-5C battery of my lost N-Gage. But I’m kind of hesitant now that I learned Motorola is launching the World’s Cheapest Music Phone. The Motorola w230 is priced at only PHP 2,490.00 or roughly USD $50.00, according to Jayvee.

But where the heck can I get this one? Has it been released to the market already? I already inquired at Motorola SM Mall of Asia brach last night but they don’t have any idea of when and how much it’s gonna be.

I read somewhere that it’s going to be released Q1 of 2008. When exactly? And I don’t know where? And it’s nearing “March end already”… I need to know…

How to blog from you Nokia 6120 Classic

Nokia 6120 Classic mobile phone is the smallest Smart Phone from Nokia. And it has a lot of potentials I have not discovered yet. Apart from it’s sleek design that I really love, I also like it’s interactivity. Very user friendly to use.

The best feature I liked about it is it’s reasonably fast 3G connectivity. I can use it as a modem or use it itself to browse your blogs and create entries for this blog. Read More

N6120 3G connected on Asus Eee PC

Just claimed my new phone from Smart. I already incurred 18 months on plan 800 and they said I’m already eligible to extend my account for another 2 years. Smart service is not as bad as Sun Cellular so I am extending my plan. And upgraded to plan 1200. I’m actually averaging 1500 monthly.

Comes with a new plan is a new Nokia 6120 Classic. It’s actually the most beautiful phone I ever had. Thouggh, I am not into design. The phone is 3G capable and can be used as modem. So I get it.

Installing 3G connection on Asus Eee Pc using Nokia 6120 is just as simple as the previous settings for LG and Sony Ericsson. Most specially if you follow the GUI Way. The only difference: since I already have a previous dial up connection which is dialup1, I have to edit dialup2 for the new connection. And don’t forrget! When you connect your N6120 to your Asus Eee, there will appear 3 options on your phone. Choose PC Suite. Very easy. And here I am! Connected!

I use 3G @ home, Free Wi-Fi when outside. When @ office, I use LAN. :D
