Don’t like 3D? Then watch 3D in 2D

While 3D is always more high-end than 2D, not just because it’s new but because 3D is the future, some of us may still prefer 2D over it. And while it’s cool, I don’t enjoy it much based on my experience.

Suppose you are on a date with your partner and he/she wanted to watch a 3D movie. You willingly agree even though you know you’re gonna die because your eyes will come out and your head will burst. It’s your allergy. You really don’t want to do it but you have no other choice. It’s the only movie playing in your living room. What are you gonna do?

Well, worry not! Here’s your anti-histamine. An anti-3D glasses called 2D glasses. Cool.

3D images has 2 images being projected to the viewers. A pair of 3D glasses blocks 1 image on each glass, and your brains combine those images to form the 3D image. Oh, how complex.

Now, these 2D glasses blocks the same image on both glasses and let only one image to pass through and turn a 3D movie in 2D. Still on the page with me?

This maybe a clever idea or maybe not. Depends on how your brains will process it. You may also refer this theory to already available ones like USB to 9-PIN converters or HDMI to VGA.

Video: How to transform your iPhone to an Abacus

No doubt. An iPhone is an iPhone. Rocketing all the way to the top among smart phones. But let’s see how it kicks when put beside this Triple-display Flip phone.

I got an Eye-Fi (How does it work?)

Eye Fi

From time to time, I go around and pick up something to feed my geeky persona. I have been very much curious about the Eye + Fi eversince it came out years back. Like ordinary SDHC, it stores photos and videos of up to 8GB (the largest I know available so far). It also has same form size and shape. The BIG difference is that Eye + Fi has built in WiFi.

How this thing works?

The memory card itself has built in wifi that connects to available wifi hotspots. Once you pop it on a camera and start shooting photos, it will automatically upload the photos to your PC. You may even configure your setup so it will automatically share your photos on Facebook and other media sharing sites you want. It’s like point-shoot-and-share in one click as long as it’s connected to a network. Just be extra careful of what you are shooting at because you can’t stop it anymore to the internet.

Is it worth it? I would say yes. Because I think it’s cool having one and I know how I would use it and enjoy it. But honestly, you would not always maximize it’s capability most especially if your shooting somewhere where no network is available.

3D with no glasses

Technology is becoming more and more amazing. (or creepy?). Jonathan Post has discovered a new approach for watching 3D videos without putting on a traditional 3D glasses. A new device will be attached to your head which opens and closes your eyelids automatically in a manner you wouldn’t be able to do without it.

How to Add Slow-motion effect in Windows Live Movie Maker

There’s no denying that one of the best video effect ever invented is the Slow Motion effect. And that’s not acceptable for a Movie editor software to not include that as feature. And of course, it’s available on Windows Live Movie Maker.

How to add Slow-motion effect in Windows Live movie Maker

  1. Select the clip you want to add “Slow Motion” effect
  2. Goto Edit tab
  3. Select the speed [slowness] you want

Pretty easy right?

But honestly, I had a hard time looking for it. I was trying to search on the preset list of animations and video transition effects. Plus, there are some sites that suggests that it’s not available on WLMM. Like I said, it’s one of the best and most used effect, if not the best. Why wouldn’t it be available?
