Summer is getting near once more and I’m sure that you already have a plan in mind to go some place where you can relax and enjoy the season. I can also pretty much say that one of the first things that touched your brain is swimming because according to surveys, “10 of every 9†people will say Beach or something related to swimming, when asked where to go this summer. So this means more than 100% percent think of summer. Perhaps, summer = beach = swimming. It’s given.
If you are looking for nice beach resorts, Batangas is the place where you should go. Compare to other beaches in the Philippines, resorts in Batangas are always cheaper, yet you still have the comfort to refresh yourselves in the hot summer breeze. Please don’t ask for white sands, by the way. Oh wait; there are some places as well where sands are as fine as Boracay’s but I have to research on that first. I’m pretty sure there is. And there are a lot of places where you can swim 100% FREE.
Same as you think, we’ll go swimming as well this summer and this time we’ll be at La Luz Resort in San Juan Batangas. Going to that place is very easy if you follow this instruction which can be found on their site. They have a very cheap accommodation rates which ranges from 1,800 Php to 4,100 Php.
You might also want to read their Rules and Regulations before you decide to go there. I don’t mean that there’s something wrong with their rules but it’s always good that you know the Do’s and Don’ts.
To better describe the place, you can head over to their picture galleries and see sample beauty of that beach.
Are there still available rooms for 10 persons? this will be for april 5, 5 & 7.
Hi Kathy, I’m glad you are interested on my post. You can go ahead and check out room availability on their site. Happy Summer.
How far is the resort from the bus station?
The nearest bus station is in Lipa City. From there is an hour travel to San Juan Beach Resorts.
I can’t provide directions when commuting as of now. I will have to try it myself first.
Thanks for your visit and Have a Nice Trip.

guys if you are planning to rent a tourist bus, don’t ever make a deal with Galatian Bus Lines (yellow-colored). We had a
very bad experience with them.
here’s what happened:
our wedding will be held in one of the resorts in san juan batangas. we were looking for a tourist bus which will serve as a
transportation for the majority of our guests. we saw the Galatian’s ad in the internet (not sure if it’s sulit.com.ph) and
dialed the cel# and landline posted in the ad. i think it was 3 weeks before our wedding. someone named raymond answered and
we discussed the terms. thinking that we were already in a hurry and we’ve tried several tourist bus operators but we cant
find an available bus on our wedding date; i agreed to pay 11k as a down payment(it was also my fault that i did not ask for
a contract). raymond was very accomodating and we even had sms exchanges several days before the wedding. I even went to
their location in bicas, caloocan just to see their bus (satisfactory rating) and to make sure that we have a bus which will
transport our guests from manila to batangas.
one day before the wedding, we were already in san juan. batangas. at around 530am, my sister was calling me to tell that the
bus hasn’t arrived yet. the agreed time was 5am. i and my fiancee were calling raymond in his cellphone and landline, but no
one answered us. alas, at around 545am. there came a bus(as my sister narrated), old, not the tourist bus that we agreed(it
was a passenger bus not named Galatian) and the aircon is worn out and not working properly. so it was very hot inside the
bus (imagine traveling from manila to san juan, batangas in that condition). worse, the drive didn’t even know that we
already made a downpayment with raymond and on monday (the day after the wedding) the driver said that the bus was in coding
that’s why we cannot arrive in manila before 5pm. and to think that our checkout time in laiya is 11am. it was a very
irritating experience for me and my wife and to our families and friends inside.
if you don’t want to experience that, dont even think of dealing with Galatian bus lines ( raymond/shirley)
