It’s sure going to be another not-so-ordinary summer experience this weekend for me, as I will spend another moment in an unusual place for a resort. Or at least to me it is. It’s gonna be my first time to the place and I don’t know much about it but I assume the place is at the mountain or hill top. Not sure about it but the picture likely says so. So my job this weekend is to know more about La Virginia Resort and share my experience to my lovely readers. All I know for now is that it’s one of the many resorts in Batangas.
And I also think something that could make it even ‘not-so-ordinary-summer’. I think it’s gonna rain on weekend but I hope I could still enjoy it. Unless there’s a storm, I will be there for sure.

also, there’s no beach in La Virginia, but the place is good… You may rent the Pagoda for 15k I think. It has a private pool.

the best route to take if you’re coming from Alabang is SLEX. Take STAR Tollway in Sto Tomas and exit at Lipa.

been there at last… my sis-in-law celebrated her bday by treating us all together with her staff sa la virginia resort… right now, 3 swimming pools are available, but i think there’ll be an additional 2 more pools (that would be great
the view from every corner is awesome (given that it was just an hour or so travel from manila) and im sure you’ll love the ifugao village experience. and the tree house as if you are at eagle’s point…

we’ve been there last friday..its a nice place to take pictures..BUT their shower rooms are disapponting…LOW PRESSURE TO NO WATER..their showers wer nt functioning..u have to check on ds , sayang…

We are a group been there nice place po! napakaganda talaga, kung may napakaganda jan may pinakapangit ang asal na staff jan (tanga) name nya Madel (girl). Imagine po naka reserve kame sa Baleleng eh inireserve pa sa iba in that day & our group so we will move in other room kasi 3 houses kinuha ng boss namin. not enjoy kami mabait lang ang boss namin kaya lumipat kami. next we are in cook are food so need namin ung lutuan as in gasul imagine pilit na kinuha sa amin. We are not enjoy for her bad & ignorant attitude! Hoy! Madel ka! dapat tangalin ka jan sa katangahan mo! Mahingat kayo sa babaeng yan Tanga yan! Baka magkaganun din kayo sa amin galit din ung nag standby sa amin para sila pumalit sa amin. coz of you Madel ka we are not referring La Virginia Resort for makati. Dapat alisin ka jan dahil eng eng k!Pinagaaway mo mga customer mo!kilala mo kami! 3 houses kinuha namin jan. kawawang may ari ng resort nasisira ang bussiness nyo dahil lang sa isang staff nyo? I have been there at La Virginia Hotel & Resort on October 30 to 31, 2010. Me and my family went there at my expense as a Birthday Gift for my mother. We are 12 people but I only spent about 20K. We stayed at the lower Octagon. The place is beautiful. My favorite attraction is the huge golden Buddha. My Facebook friends thought that I was Thailand or Malaysia when they saw my picture with the statue. Fortunately, is was also the right time for lanzonez. At P40 per kilo, it was a good “pasalubong”.
I am wondering how will the road towards Taal Lake will look like. Perhaps this might be one of the reasons to come back. Me and my 3 nephew and o niece went down that road until we reached the rotonda which was then under construction.
Some negative comment though, the zip line is too expensive and I was dismayed by the photographer’s shots. Moreover, posting a photoshop edited pictures to promote the zip line is not good (like the pictures of people zip lining in front of the Buddha). My companions said that my picture using an ordinary digital camera is better than the photographer’s. Unfortunately, my only memory with the zip line is the unsatisfactory picture of the hotel’s photographer.
Some suggestion, I hope that there are facilities for company team building activities as I am planning to suggest this place to our company outing this 2011. Vendo-telescopes on the “Tree House” to see the beauty of Taal lake would be a good thing.
Stil, If I have time and money, I will go back to this place. I highly recommend this place to my friends seeking for a vacation spot.

We’ve been there 1st week of April. The experience was nice because of the beautiful sculptures and picturesque landscapes and sceneries. You should bring camera. Staffs were nice and helpful. It is perfect for the locals except there’s no beach. For westerners to appreciate it, they should have a resort bar/tikki bar in case someone like to order wine, alcohol or mixed drinks.
can we ask for the room rate for 10 – 15 pax for an overnight stay & what other charges do have to pay ? please let us know if we can bring our toy dog ..thnks

we’ve been to la virginia this weekend the resort is interesting,had a nice time walking around, taking pictures and bonding with family. but the thing i hate the most was how the receptionist and the operation manager treated us! so rude! unethical! i didn’t expect this kind of treatment. you should train your employees well so you will have more clients.the only reason why i don’t feel like coming back is how they treated us:-(

We’ve been there last sat and sun (SEPT 17-18). It was my mom-in-laws birthday.We had so much fun @ the La Virginia resort. We stayed overnight at the Ifugao village and boy did we enjoyed our stay! The view from the tree house offers majestically breath taking view of the mountain ranges and the Taal lake/vulcano! My kids loved the pools and the gigantic sculptures!My daughter tried the zip line and had so much fun with that too. Will definitely be coming back there that’s for sure!
The only thing that ruined my day is my plain stupidity. I though I’ve lost my digi cam inside the resort particularly the Ifugao house we rented. Only to find out that it hidden inside the laundry bag.I have already sent an apology letter prior to my letter of complaint which I did last night. And I accept it was entirely my fault.
