Max’s made our day.
It’s labor day today, it’s a holiday, everyone’s suppose to enjoy it. Common plans could be going out with friends, rent a private pool and swim, watch movies all day, but the most practical thing to do for busy employees is to sleep all day and regain energy for next day’s work. We wanted to do it but apprently we cannot.
Fillers …
I left office by 7AM and headed home. I was expecting that I can have a good rest all day since Honey’s at home, she can take care of Sam while I am asleep. Breakfast is already prepared when I came home. There’s really a big difference when Honey’s at home when I come. I just can’t explain but there’s really something I feel that relaxes me or excites me … I just can’t explain.
Anyway, there we had our breakfast. Yesterday’s pan de sal, with tuna spread. Last Sunday I requested my wife to make tuna sandwich spread. It was very delicious. How I love food Honey prepares.
Story continues …
I got a couple new customization softwares I want to test on my PC but as I log on, the power got interrupted. The first thing that came into my mind is to fill some pail of water but before I reach for the pail, the water is also gone. This is a normal scenario in Dasmariñas everytime there’s a power outage. I thought it wouldn’t take long and while waiting for the power to resume, I fell asleep. I know I slept just right where I was seated but when I woke up, I was in the other room. I do not know how did I get there. It was noon already and still no power. It’s starting to feel hotter and hotter and there’s nothing we can do but wait outside and catch some not-so-fresh air. Until we decided to go out for lunch.
At Max’s …
We went to Max’s Salitran branch, must be our favorite place here, eh? But this time we are not ordering Power Breakfast. Inside, I started to feel better. The place has a good ventilation, though the aircons looks a little old and sounds a bit noisy. We ordered our food, a halo-halo for dessert. Sam was quite too difficult so I needed to have her something she can do so I can eat. Lucky we are, the whole function room was ours. On the other room is a wedding reception. While we were eating, Sam just ran around all over the place. And while I have Honey alone I smiled and said to her, “Happy Anniversary Honey”.
That’s about it. We went home after that, had a little while outside for some more not-so-fresh air, took a nap, and power went on by 5:30PM.

my family still enjoys Max’s, but what we do now is choose the branch where we would be dining. service varies from branch to branch, you know.

I agree! Sometimes, same branch, service quality differs each day…
