Memory Upgrade Help
We sometimes aren’t sure of what to put on our Desktops to make the most of it. Most of the times we to upgrade the memory but unsure of the compatible modules we need. Looking for some helpful tips, I came across Crucial.com. It installs an ActiveX to your PC and automatically scans your hardware. The results are displayed right there and then. And I think the results were accurate in terms of Brand/model of your hardware. Cool.
Crucial is compatible as of now with IE browsers but they also have a tool which you can download and run on you PC locally. Like the ActiveX, it will automatically computes the upgrade you need and displays the result.
The result basically shows the number of memory slots on your motherboard, the options you have, and some hardware information as well. Eg. CPU, OS, etc…
I have already identified what I need but I don’t have budget. ![]()

Thanks for sharing about Crucial. I’ve been having problems with my desktop and I’m suspecting it’s the memory. With this tool, I’ll know how many slots are still available and what type of memory to buy if I need to replace it.
