My previous jobs
I have never mentioned anything about my previous jobs before, have I? Well, before I had my current profession, I’ve done so many things, not so ordinary I guess, at least for bloggers/computer professionals.
When I was still a kid, grade school I believe, I used to have a weekend work where I get extra allowance for school day recess. That job, I am proud to experience. I worked with my dad whenever he has projects. He was a carpenter, and I help him together with other kids get sand and gravel, and mix with cement. I get 1.00 Php for every big bucket of sand, 1.00 Php for every big bucket of gravel, and 5.00 Php for every sack of cement I carry from main road to the building site.
When I entered 2nd year high school, I went with dad in his painting projects. We are the best when it comes to painting houses, owner type jeeps, etc. My dad was very proud of my talent, which I share with my co-workers. I was the youngest. Home owners were also very proud and they liked my work. Imagine doing the paint job more than 50% faster while the quality is also better than other contractors?
When I was in junior and senior high, I used to work as a mechanic, technician, welder in my uncle’s shop. I was not just a helper, I can work and accept projects on my own because I know how to do it.
When I entered college, I haven’t experienced side jobs anymore. I became too busy with my studies? Oh, I had a different job. I used to be a freelancer when I was in college. I also used to repair computers and I get bigger bucks with it. But it’s too seldom to have a customer. How I wish I looked like Neil Crespi. At least I could have tried modeling? Dream on!
So, those were the things I did to help my family and myself. And I can say I survived because of those experience. It helped me a lot to become a hard worker.
